LRBBC Upcoming Calendar of Events September 2010 thru December 2010 (New workshops will be offered beginning January 2011) Our Next Bully Breed Demo is booked at Goddard Park, September 19th (Honor of Lauren and Frankie) at 4:15pm. Meet up is down by the water (Gazebo area) Cook-out style family fun day… All proceeds go towards legal bills accrued from Frankie’s dilemma. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pit bull demonstration will be held at Blessing of the Animals event on Saturday, October 2nd. Warwick City Park. Time to be announced. LRBBC shall also have a booth available with educational material about our organization and available dogs for adoption. The Little Rhodie Bully Breed Club Inc. Is hosting a HALLOWEEN DOGGIE PARADE/PACK WALK!!! $5.00 per dog. Sat. Oct. 23rd 2010. Walk begins at Goddard Park 1pm By the Gazebo (beach area) All dogs have to be in costume. We will award prizes! All for a great cause! Please join us. We will need an early head-count! Membership requirements:
RI residents only, at this time You must currently own an American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Pit bull mix, Staffordshire bull terrier, Bull terrier, American Bull Dog, or any dog that is classified as “A bully breed” type dog. . Your dog MUST have gone through training, and you must be willing to participate in at least 3 Little Rhodie Bully Breed Club Inc. shows with our group. All dogs must have already obtained an AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Outline of workshop:
The Little Rhodie Bully Breed Club alongside Dynamic Dog Training/Behavior Services LLC shall offer interactive workshops, “Out of the pits and into the Ritz which is an award winning program. We will be hosting bi-monthly educational seminars/events so you can gain knowledge about everything pit bull-related. The workshop is geared for anyone who owns or works with shelter pit bulls and would like to learn more about working with them. Come and learn from the best trainers. We have MANY years of working with and owning pit bulls. NO BULL! Our hands on workshop shall cover: Pit bull background & personality traits How to tell a good shelter pit bull from a bad one? Pit Bull-specific training for shelter pit bulls and shelter volunteers. Adoption advice… Channeling gameness: finding an outlet for high drive and energy. “Junk yard agility”,,, “Duck duck goose goose games”. We also shall offer safety handling tips for shelter workers. This event is for everyone in the pit bull community, whether you're a current or potential owner, a rescue worker, a trainer, a shelter volunteer or just someone interested in learning more about pit bulls. Communicate with your dog in a way they understand. Come and learn how to celebrate a dog’s natural abilities. This is a hands on workshop and we will be using dogs from a local animal shelter. We also will be doing a pit bull demonstration with our own dogs and show you how we have fun with our dogs! You will be amazed how fun working with pit bulls can be!
